COSTELLO: Thanks I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer.
ABBOTT: Mac?

Bradley joined the family... and has taken it by storm.... papa loves to tell fish stories to the boy and threatens to take Bradley off on a just men adventure... soon!
Bradley watches and listens and i am sure records every word!

here he was looking for Grandma while papa played with his feet...

and the best part of all for everyone who comes into contact with this boy....

Happy 2 months Bradley we are so happy to have you in our lives and how about that pic inthe header... Daddy does so good with the boy, I love how he feeds him and watches him and talks to him... but when he poops LOL they all pass him off to momma or grandma *unless no one is around then they will step up*

just because i can...

IT RAINED LAST NIGHT!!! for the first time in 4 plus weeks we got RAIN nearly 3/4ths of an inch at that... and the plants and grass and trees and graden and koi pond are thrilled... we can water each day but well water just is not the same as rain...period!

the peace lily is blooming... and i really need to thin this plant ... well repot it into several pots... it is 3 years old and the plant i got from my aunts funeral :) my Ilarea plant.
it is so pretty even with the burnt leaves from the heat and lack of rain. (we water it daily)

My amazing little cactus... the actual cactus died this year but its shoots are back and one blooms red one blooms yellow... facinating when they both come from the same origin.

the fern is back... and with is a surprise gardinia(sp) has come up... i took the sour grass weed out...

an odd day topsy turvy set of pics... i have been picking tomatoes daily... and if i leave them unattended for long MJ seems to inhale them LOL. I have picked and eatten the peppers too ... but... more tomatoes....

whats this is see hidden in the leaves... yes a pepper. i am still waiting to see my plants become loaded with so many pounds of produce like is advertised.... and it makes me sad to say that so far... these are just fun... and i am not so sure i would put a bunch of money into them for next year.... however... keep in mind I live in the third side of hell and drought so they may do wonders above the mason dixon line... i keep mine in shade most of the day or they would literally cook in the hangar....i know this because i had a half cooked bell pepper that was touching the side of the pot... unreal!

my little garden is thriving but only because i water daily....
i am trying cantalope this year.... i love them but have never had success with them.... this one is blooming as is the cuke on the right.

the other cuke plant it blooming well too!

there are a couple tomatos coming on... but my neighbor has tons of course his garden is 100 times as big as mine :)

the squash are blooming I picked some blossems today but will have to put them in the fridge until more are ready... they are much smaller this year...but i planted a month and half later than last year so who knows things may pick up later in the summer and early fall for me :) we shall see!

and this makes me happy.... and when mama is happy everyone is happy!!!!!

Now I impatiently wait on the chance to see my son and grandson...

the fish are so happy when it rains... we have been hauling water about 60 gallons a day from my mother in laws place because our well is shallow and can not begin to keep up with the water needs... diamond says hi!

Gizmo comes out from under the lily pads

a dragon fly and its amazing face.... this one is embiggen worthy!

in this i went to crop it to highlight the dragon fly (i think Cory told me these are actually damsel flies) and saw TWO extras in the pic so no cropping took place

the water lilys ... have got to be repotted this fall...or is it spring?

the fish love to hide under the lileys... its protection from birds of prey....the lovely blooms tend to hide in the greens... but this one shines right out!

this one is smothered inside (why i need to thin them and repot so they can spread)

walking up to the garden! I so love this pond and the fun of seeing and hearing it daily.
Hank says it is too hot to be out in the yard.... he picked under the wheelbarrow for a safe place to sleep.

It's raining, it's pouring....

yeah yeah yeah we are finally getting some rain! perhaps a half an inch maybe more... fantastic lightening and thunder... and cooler tempratures...till tomorrow... then i am sure the heat and sun will return... but we so could use this each week...

the news people say that we are going to break our 25 plus days over 90 temps... we will see cause i sure dont trust them when it comes to the weather.

i have not blogged in a week and a day... i have been reading your blogs though :) I got too frustrated with this operation error junk that i heard was something with blogger but i am wondering if it has to do with windows vista??

we are well, the topsy turvys are about the same been eating tomatoes and peppers almost daily but the dry and the heat here are taking their toll on everything... we spend alot of time watering and it just is not the same as rain... we have been 23 days with heat at 90 degrees or more ... most are 95 to 100 and that heat without a drop of rain.... sigh summer in GA is brutal.

last night Bradley spent the night he is such a good baby he slept 5 hours then I woke up he was stirring so i get a bottle ready and he took 6 oz got his diaper changed and is back to sleep:)

Martha's furniture finally came yesterday evening around 7 30 they were to be here between 12 and 4 pm... never on time... it is beautiful and sometime today I will take a picture of it to post. She is getting excited her next model/acting class is next Saturday the 11th...she totally cracks me up with her runway walk!

mike has 2 days off work so a 4 day weekend he has not had a day off in so long so I am excited for him but, have a feeling he wont leave the house till next Monday when he has to go back to work!

my mother is up to her old tricks and has me upset with her, she has told some lies on one of her nurses and its BAD it could cause her to loose her job but i am going to call up there today and have a talk with the DON and see if I can defuse the bomb that's about to explode... these nurses deserve better but when mom has too much time on her hands she is devious and can be super mean. sigh

well that's about it in my world for this week...

and caution i have a niece who works at that place you are avoiding... i have been told she can get passes ect but i have never asked her to because in 22 and a half years living here i have never wanted to go there... LOL

wednesdays topsy turvy up date

Its wednesday and time to do the weekly free topsy turvy update :) but before we get to those pics I am so sorry to make you suffer through more bradley pics that were taken today... he is 6 weeks and 6 days old ... time sure flies... Bradley has daddys dimples below his bottom lip so adorable.
he does not care a whole lot for the flash

but, he is such a good and happy baby!

ok so he was passing some gas lol but love the faces he makes at us

and he laughs and coos alot when he is awake :)

ok enough of the baby... ok so theres never enough... but anyway thats all the pictures for today... of Bradley... and on to the TT's

the peppers are multiplying.....

i do believe that i see some maters getting ripe..

the other pepper is about over the top of the planter again....

the tomatoes just keep growing and blooming and are loaded .... *i have eatten a couple and they are delish*

hummmm more ripe maters... yeah i ate the red one and it was good.

the garden in the ground is doiing pretty good we had day 19 today of temps over 90 and the news says 12 more to come with no signs of rain... so every other day i am watering the garden... i put a 20 oz bottle of water into the roots of each plant... the topsy turvys get watered daily right now.

WE ARE THRILLED TO HAVE 3 GENERATIONS OF FATHERS IN OUR FAMILY, Happy fathers day DAD, MICHAEL, and CORY we love you all!
Papa and Bradley had some discussions last night, but grandma got a few seconds attention too,

they laughed, kicked, wagged arms and had a wonderful time.

Grandma snuck in a few pictures... just a few LOL

Bradley had to attempt to devour his whole fist,

then they decided that smiles and coos are the best therapy in the world

and so you can have some free therapy too.... a video :)

saturday shines and Happy fathers day

i do believe this will be a picture less post! OH WOW... today has been a HOT one its 103 at 7 32 pm with the heat index... 94 with out... feels like 200 i think , it hurts to breath when out side... i think my grilled chops will be fried inside instead...

Stephanie is back at her first night of work tonight so we have the Bradley, he had 6 oz of mommys milk a big poo and 2 oz of formula and has passed out on top of auntie MJ... cant you hear her complaining frome where you are LOL... yeah right, asked her if she wanted me to lay him down, got a nasty look....

we started early this morning getting things done before it got so hot... gardens watered, tree cut down but not moved except out of the drive, then trip to the store and back home all before 3 30 this afternoon.

anyway just wanted to wish all the fathers out there happy fathers day and remind all that any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be daddy!

thursdays storms and other adventures

today was another busy day in the house of Hall... Martha and I cleaned the house this morning in preparation for an afternoon of running. we also had my great nephew with us today which is always fun to have a young man around. :) we had to go to the fish store and get food for the fishes and they finally have their back open for folks to visit. They put in a huge pond and some beautiful water features so i asked if i could take some pics and they said of course! so I did... Martha Jean freaked at first at this gator in the pond until she realised it is not real.
the pond has three skimmers and waterfalls and is absolutely beautiful! it is probably 10 times as big as my pond.

I wish mine was so big :)

at the lower end of the pond is this wonderful water feature.....hint hint hint Michael are you taking notes here???

this lovely flower stands taller than me and i am 5'7 "

none of the fishes are as big as mine YET but with all this room to grow i am sure they will get there soon!

lemmie tell you about this fan tail gold fish he is of course beautiful but, the aquarium is bizarre and really kinda cool too....

the next fish was HUGE and to show how big i had Brenner stand beside the aquarium!

this is one great kid and we had so much fun having him spend the afternoon with us. :)

this evening after we got home a storm came blowing in.... the clouds were awesome!!!!!!!

they came rolling in from the north west hard and fast...

they were twisting and changing shapes so fast i just about could not capture them

I finally just turned around and faced the south to see the changes

it was like you could reach up and touch them...

this was looking straight up! dizzying! then the winds and lightening and a bit of rain came.... and as we sat on the back porch watching this was happening in the front!

one of the big oaks was being ripped in half! about 15 feet up it twisted and broke in half and a single branch is holding it up...there are branches and leaves all across the front yard.... unreal.

my moon flowers are blooming like crazy! we so love watching them...

these are a few of the elephant ears around the yard each year we pull them from the pond as they over grow it and plant them around the yard... we give away as many as we can cause they grow like crazy.... at the fish store today... they had them 8.95 EACH! good grief what a killing they make on them.

wednesdays wrap up

as usual i am a bit late making my Wednesday post but it has been a busy day :) i got up at 6 and locked myself out of the house... good thing i know where the extra key is hidden HA but, i decided to go ahead and water the garden and add water to the pond because we were in for another scorcher... and we got it too. as you can see the topsy turvys are still going nuts... the tomato plants are loaded and growing out across the ground... embiggen to see details :)
last week i had a couple blossoms on the pepper plants... now i have peppers!!!!

all the plants have parts heading straight up still and are also covered in maters and blooms.

i won this really cool butterfly from Becky over at adult deprived it lights up all different colors... and is super cool... she also sent some really cute outfits for Bradley and some other cool stuff that my lovely teen laid claim to :) THANK YOU Becky I loved playing and we love getting snail mail!

yesterday (Tuesday) Steph, MJ, Bradley and I went out to eat lunch at stevie b's pizza then to walmart... Aunt MJ was having a turn at Bradley holding and we got rather tickled at his grabby hands lol he loves boobages

He is such a good baby he slept in his sling carrier all through walmart then rode home with Grandma to unload the van and get his diaper changed before heading to his house to have feeding time :)

Back to today... Martha Jean and My niece and her son and I went back to the lake today... we got there about 12:30 I let Martha drive up... this time we went to lake springs we actually left at 3:30 today but are a bit on the roasted side... it was HOT HOT HOT today ... I slathered in spf 50 and did not burn my head but, even with the sun block we still burned .... sigh... when its 100 degrees out in the shade i suppose it will happen... there was this lovely red headed lady with the most adorable nephew he is 5 and has an accent that is so adorable (south Ga accent) anyway this lady was fried crispy... I felt bad for her... i know where ever she is she is in pain tonight...
I took my old camera with us but totally forgot it was there so got not a single lake picture today ... I apologise... then MJ drove us home.....

Ohhhh have to tell this... on the way up... Martha JEAN screamed that something was in her hair... i looked over and she had a huge dead bug in her curls... so i very calmly told her to pull over to the side of the road put the hazard lights on put the truck in park and then roll down her window and remove the bug....she had a near complete meltdown and then carried on to the lake LOL.... I guess you had to be there to appreciate it.... anyway its late and we are going to keep my nephew tomorrow afternoon and probably go do some shopping if we don't melt first cause it will be 100 again tomorrow.
