WINDY WEDNESDAY/SWF

CLick the SWF pic to see all the other sky watchers!!!!

yesterday a front blew through Georgia... it was super windy and every 10 minutes or so the skies changed... it would rain then the sun would break through then another HUGE Hard wind would come and it would get colder and things would change again. Martha had her Dr's appt so I had picked her up early and we went to lunch... we were sitting in the truck watching the skies and waiting for her appointment time to come... and go.... and finally the announcement that the Dr was delivering a baby... and would be late.
the skies started off really dark and the rain was coming in spurts not too hard just enough to be annoying actually.
15 minutes later the hard winds had blown through and the dynamics of the clouds above had totally changed bright blue skies were peeping though some of the holes in the clouds
then I looked over my right shoulder and saw the dark clouds were rushing in as it stayed brilliant blue with the bright white clouds to my left.
the view of the direction the winds were blowing in from(westerly) and some of the trees as they were whipping about in the 50 to 60 MPH wind gusts....
and just before we went into the Dr's office.... 4 and a half hours later (i forgot to take a pic because my phone would not stop ringing) the skies were totally clear no clouds in sight in any direction!

Now for the Dr's appt... once we finally got to see him (the baby delivered was a 9 pound baby girl! ) and talk to him and Martha had her exam it was pretty much determined that she like me at her age does not ovulate correctly... hence the massive pain and irregularity...so he put her back on low dose BC pills in an effort to regulate her and to cease the pain that comes with ovulation. I really Love this Dr he is such a wonderful personality and he loves what he does and takes the time needed to see to it that the patient is comfortable and totally understand what is happening... I think he talked to us about 25 minutes.... during the exam he sang the parts of the characters of the wizard of OZ and did a great job imitating the characters perfectly and before the very distracted 1st timer MJ knew it he was all done :)

The rest of the day was spent doing laundry running Cory about as he is trying to get his truck back on the road and needed parts and of course carried to the mechanics shop.... they worked until about 7 pm last night but were not finished...I took Cory last night to get more parts that they need today... and hopefully before the day is done they will have the truck running safely...

I stayed up way too late and got up way too early ... so I sure do feel a nap coming on cause I am lazy like that :) back later hope you have a wonderful Thursday

All it did here yesterday was snow, sleet, freezing rain and then snow some more. What a mess!

Beautiful pics btw!

Hope those pills work for that sweet girl.

Lazy? You? Stop it, right now. You get more work done in a day than I do in a week. Truth.

Love your pictures. :)

Maybelline was on Yaz for about 6 months for similar reasons, but the doc switched her to progesterone pills. They don't cause the weight gain we saw with the Yaz, and they're a more natural substance. I hope MJ sees the results Maybelline did, though - works wonderfully either way you go!

Love the Sky pics and narrative. God has an amazing talent for beauty in all forms. : D

What beautiful skies!

Hope this helps Martha - my girls went through the same thing and always have resented me because I never did.

Great pics. It was also very windy here in SC. I was driving and I thought my car was going to blow right into someone else's lane. Luckily, that didn't happen.

Hope you enjoy the nap! :)

We got the crazy, windy weather here, too. The sky looked gorgeous on campus, though. I wish I had my camera.

Glad MJ's doc appt went well. I know it's nerve-wracking, but it is a necessary evil. Tell her just wait til she's pregnant (which better be a LOOOONG, LOOOOONG time from now) they like to poke and prod way too much!

It's interesting the way the clouds' shapes seem to mimic the shapes of the trees. These are dramatic and lovely.

I just realized that SWF is an appreviation for Single White Female...
And being a Georgian as well, I can testify that our weather has been wackey.

Hello Peachy - my friend, glad all went well at the docs, and hope Hubby got the truck running.

Fantastic series of photos of the dark clouds.

Laura: Interesting post with some great cloudy skies thrown in. You told a neat story throughout.

Yep, that looks about right for that speedy front that passed through. Could you believe the wind, and brrr...

I hope things get resolved with your daughter quickly. How terrible for her. I know how awful ovarian pain can be!
