I did alot of stuff this weekend besides dealing with martha jean and the drama,
Bradley was here friday and saturday evening until 12 midnightish and sunday till 4 pm. he KNOWS he is not to mess with remotes and phones so when he was busted (i tried to get the LOOK he gave) it was the O face with sound effects... then the chesse smile.
When my Aunt came she brought me this stone crock... it was her mothers and her grandmothers before her and at some point in the last several years i had mentioned i have nothing that was my grandmas... so she brought me this. Grandma made bread in it several times a week... I have used it at least 4 or 5 times a week for different things it is THE PERFECT size crock... on this day i had bread rising in it... I called my aunt she was tickled and figured the bowl was happy too! its easily well over 100 years old. :)I am a bacon sammich aholic.... I love bacon cheese lettuce sammiches and I love my bacon press and my mother in laws flat iron ... :) you will find very little that I have did not belong to someone before me. :) the broken spoon rest was the ONE thing i picked out at my mother in laws when she passed away... the flat iron she gave me way before she passed.
these murals are on the water works building in Augusta and we were sitting at the redlight talking about how good they look since being done ,...Friday morning on the way to marthas dr appt... the WATER one is a favorite. the wall turns on the right side and goes up a city block it has murals too but i have not gotten pics of that yet.
this is the bread that was rising in the stone crock the day before... it was good...
this morning (sunday) i made biscuts and sasuage gravy for me mike and bradley and a bread pudding with caramel sauce to get rid of the old bread... I sent most of this home with stephanie as I would have DIED trying to eat it all by my self and I WOULD TRY... cause its that good and I stress eat.... god help I WILL NEVER BE NORMAL WEIGHT.
this is BADLEY... yes i spelled it correct... when he is into something or doing something he KNOWS he is not allowed he makes these faces that totally crack you up... then comes the charming smile LOL
i ate this all ... and only tried one time to share with bradley... it was still hot... it gets better the longer it sits an the caramel sauce soaks in... OH MY...
Bradley has a ton of toys... but his favorites are to take all my pots and pans out and play in them ... literally he sits in the tan pot ...
he was told to get the dice key chain out of his mouth... he gave me the face !!!
I think he was after my coffee ... he drinks coffee daily with grandma and papa but we have to limit him cause he would drink the whole pot if we let him... he likes papas bitter black coffee and grandmas much sweeter smoother french vanilla ...he is a HAM
will have to be reminded to tell of the punching the stupid guy in the face at school story...but in this case rest assured she was in the right ... and Iam glad she stood up to the bully idiot inher class ... for herself and the other people in her classs..
on that note i must run for now...
happy rest of your sunday night and Happy healthy STRESS FREE DRAMA FREE MONDAY TO ALL, and to ALL GOODNIGHT :)

12 words of wisdom:
Awwww, Peachy Keen! I have read all the way down through the pictures of Batman Bradley (soooo cute!)...and all I can say is, I do know how hard it can be and I'm sorry. And you're in my prayers. And you are just the BEST MAMA in the world. Your letters to MJ about had me crying. Even at my advanced age, I so miss having the kind of love that only a Mama can give.
I don't know all of the specifics of what happened, but based on what I have read of your posts, I just want to say that MJ's whole way of thinking is going to undergo a lot of changes once her own daughter is here. Right now she is still the smartest person on earth, and you are the dumbest. But in a short period of time, that's all going to change and she will be looking at things from a mother's perspective. And it will change her.
You wrote so beautifully, eloquently, and from your heart, Laura. Prayers for all, and special (((Laura))) hugs just for you.
I just went back and read the comments (duh!)... ah-ha; it all makes sense now.
First thing I've gotta say...I thought Tracy DeLuca's note to MJ was incredible. What a caring thing to do...plus, everything she said was SPOT ON. I don't "know" Tracy, but kudos to her!
Even more ((((Laura)))) hugs...and I LOVE that crock. Very cool.
That grandson is a cutey. He has mischief in his eyes. I think he loves his grandma a lot.
That bread looks wonderful....
Bradley doesn't take a bad photo. They are all adorable! You've got my stomach growling too. Items like this, that have memories and are used are the best things to have around you. They make you smile :)
I hope you have the "ME" Monday you so deserve sweetie!
I've been trying to post from my phone, but no luck so back to the computer!
Miss Peach, you are a great mom. You have a heart the size of Texas and it's full of love, but you've also lived and learned so you have wisdom, too. That's a powerful combo, but not much that most teenagers want to acknowledge. Something you wrote has been resonating with me. It was the thought that while your Mike may not welcome Martha's Mike, that it is his consistent providing for you because of his love for his family which allows you to help MJ. I thought that was so profound and quite beautiful. You are such a special woman!
Oh the tales that crock could tell...I love how you are treasuring it;) And I love how Mr. Bradley is in his Tom and Huck shirt....they are his inspiration? Love and no drama wishes coming to you....
Love that crock and all the wonderful history behind it. That Badley is the cutest ever! And what kim-d said.
What a ham that little cutie is, isn't he! I know HE will never get to play with the crock though. Of course, that would be the first thing he broke!
I know--it's not my business, and I know MJ is under a lot of stress (AND YOU, Laura!).I know she may have been standing up for right, but she's also carrying Halo in her tummy---and if this person had kicked back at MJ--it could have been awful. I guess those people who say our brains aren't fully developed until after we're 21 or so must be right.
So to the beautiful person that MJ must be--(Don't punch me, MJ!! I'm old!), I'm just trying to say--"Be careful, Honey!! Think of that little girl and think of your own health--she's going to be a real person to you soon. You and Mike and all your family are going to meet her, and we don't want anything to happen to her or you before or after she gets here." Standing up for what is right is wonderful----but violence (which I'm sure you didn't start)--isn't the way you need to do this "standing up for right" right now. Forgive me for the 'advice'-let's not call it advice--just my opinion. I'm a grandma with a grandson older than you--so I feel I've lived, and seen a lot of life!! A lot of it--and a lot of it wasn't pretty, either. :)
I am getting to this post a little late, but better late than never!
I think the crock is amazing!! If it could only talk, huh??
Hugs to Bradley!
MJ sure has a good sized belly already!
Bradley is adorable, no matter what he gets up to.
How about the recipe for your bread and butter/caramel pudding?????
I love all the pictures! Bradley sure is a cutie! And that crock... HOW COOL!!!
As for the bread pudding. You are a cruel, cruel woman. I am DROOLING on myself.
Bradley is cute no matter what he is doing! I want a crock like that! MJ has a cute belly button... LOL
HUGS
